Barons Riga fired past Jekabpils to advance into the semifinal stage. Jekabpils trailed 40-38 at halftime, rallying from a 28-14 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Barons Riga made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Barons Riga especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Jekabpils helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian Tauras Jogela (202-93, agency: Players Group) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Tyler Larson (190-91, college: S.Dakota) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Roberts Stumbris (199-93) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Jurijs Aleksejevs (202-85) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Jekabpils' coach Rudolfs Rozitis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
