CSU Sibiu held off Steaua CSM to even the series at 1-1. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-17. But Steaua CSM won third quarter 26-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 23 points and his fellow American import power forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Steaua CSM. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
