Wasserburg claimed the fifth consecutive DBBL title. They outgunned Keltern today to complete the sweep of the championship series. The game without a history. TSV 1880 Wasserburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. TSV 1880 Wasserburg forced 26 Gruner Stern Keltern turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 assists and 8 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Swedish guard Nathalie Fontaine (188-93, college: Ball St., agency: ProDep Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. TSV 1880 Wasserburg's coach Georg Eichler used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Quenese Davis (170-88, college: San Diego St.) answered with 28 points and 8 assists and Serbian Marina Markovic (185-91, agency: ProDep Management) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Gruner Stern Keltern.
