Burgos held off Melilla to spur ahead in the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 19-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) stepped up and scored 14 points and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Alejandro Barrera (198-92, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Burgos players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-French guard Alfredo Ott (190-83, college: Dillard) responded with 16 points and guard Marcos Suka-Umu (192-85) scored 8 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
