Regular Season Round 15: Fajardo - Isabela 89-78

An interesting game for Fajardo (9-5) which hosted in 3rd placed Caciques (8-6). Second ranked Fajardo managed to get a 11-point victory 89-78. The game was mostly controlled by Fajardo. Caciques was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fajardo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Caciques' 34. They outrebounded Caciques 41-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Fajardo players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Shawn James (208-83, college: Northeastern) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Fajardo players scored in double figures. Fajardo's coach Allans Colon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized American guard Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St., agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 25 points. Fajardo have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-5 record having just three points less than leader Aguada. Caciques at the other side keep the third position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
