Regular Season Round 61: Tokyo Z - Toyotsu FE 67-87

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tokyo. 3rd placed host Tokyo Z (27-32) was smashed by second ranked Toyotsu FE (41-18) 87-67. Toyotsu FE had a 40-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Toyotsu FE looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Deon Jones (198-93, college: Monmouth) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Shota Watanabe (180-93) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE maintains second place with 41-18 record having just three points less than leader Shimane SM. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the third position with 32 games lost. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo Z will play again against the league's second-placed Toyotsu FE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
