Regular Season Round 31: Le Mans - Antibes 72-80

We should mention about the upset which took place in Le Mans, where 11th ranked Le Mans (12-19) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Olympique Antibes (11-20) 72-80. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 28-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists. His fellow American import Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Five Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Olivier Hanlan (193-93, college: Boston Coll.) came up with 21 points and American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Le Mans in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympique Antibes moved-up to thirteenth place. Le Mans at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Olympique Antibes' next round opponent will be higher ranked Le Portel (#7) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
