Quarter-Finals Round 3: Souffel - ALS Basket 81-66

Souffel outgunned ALS Basket to secure the semifinal birth. The game was mostly controlled by Souffelweyersheim. ALS Basket was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ALS Basket to just 5 points in first quarter. Souffelweyersheim dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to ALS Basket's 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by ALS Basket's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Lithuanian power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Fabien Ateba (192-91) helped adding 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. Souffelweyersheim's coach Stephane Eberlin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Perris Blackwell (205-91, college: Washington) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Bosnian power forward Nemanja Kovanusic (204-93) scored 8 points.
