Ventspils eased past Barons Riga in the capital to step closer to sweeping the series. The game was mostly controlled by Ventspils. Barons Riga was better in third quarter 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ventspils players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Barons Riga's players. Barons Riga was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Andrejs Grazulis (202-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Lithuanian forward Edgaras Zelionis (207-89) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Tyler Larson (190-91, college: S.Dakota) replied with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kristaps Mediss (188-89) added 14 points in the effort for Barons Riga. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
