Palestrina dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Matera's 32. It was a good game for forward Riccardo Pederzini (198-89, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Luca Montanari (181-92) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Palestrina's coach Gianluca Lulli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international Federico Lestini (204-83, agency: SPORTlab Agency) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Alessandro Grande (185-94, agency: Two Points) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Matera.
