Ventspils outscored Barons Riga to seal LBL Finals appearance. It looked good early as Barons Riga took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ventspils had a 28-20 second period charge getting the lead and Barons Riga was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-100. Ventspils dominated on the defensive end, holding Barons Riga to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They made 27-of-31 charity shots (87.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Barons Riga 38-27 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Ventspils especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Barons Riga's players. Barons Riga was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international power forward Rolandas Zakis (206-87) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Ventspils players scored in double figures. American guard Tyler Larson (190-91, college: S.Dakota) answered with 16 points and Lithuanian Tauras Jogela (202-93, agency: Players Group) added 15 points in the effort for Barons Riga. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
