Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Caciques (8-9) and Brujos (6-10), which took place in Guayama. Higher ranked Caciques lost to tenth ranked Brujos in a road game 88-95 on Thursday. Brujos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (185-92, college: Cent.Conn.St.) notched 30 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Chane Behanan (198-92, college: Louisville) supported him with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) by American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) did not help to save the game for Caciques. Naturalized American guard Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St., agency: Paris Global Sports) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brujos moved-up to eighth place. Caciques lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bayamon and Arecibo. Brujos will meet Indios (#10) in the next round. Caciques will play against Leones (#7) in Juana Diaz and hope to secure a win.
