Strangely Chieti outrebounded Unieuro Forli 43-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Chieti was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. British point guard Ogooluwa Adegboye (182-87, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 assists for the winners and American guard Melvin Johnson (193-93, college: VCU) chipped in 22 points. At the losing side American guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and naturalized American power forward Cristopher Mortellaro (207-82, college: Drury) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chieti's coach Maurizio Bartocci rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
