Vietnam opened win count at the tournament. They rallied past Myanmar for 1-1 record. Hung Nguyen Van came up with 22 points and 15 rebounds to pace the winners. Vietnam totally dominated the first half. They posted a comfortable 40:18 halftime lead. They went on a 27:11 run in the final term to ice the victory. Tran Vi Linh provided 18 points for Vietnam. Aung Wana responded with 21 points for Myanmar.
