Tenth-ranked Aguilas Doradas de Durango (9-18) gave a tough game to second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (19-9). The visitors from Ciudad Obregon managed to secure only one-point victory 101-100. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aguilas Doradas de Durango. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aguilas Doradas de Durango won third quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aguilas Doradas de Durango 32-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. American forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) accounted for 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168, college: Bowling Green) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists and naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) added 16 points respectively for Aguilas Doradas de Durango in the defeat. Four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon and five Aguilas Doradas de Durango players scored in double figures. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains second place with 19-9 record having just one point less than leader Hermosillo. Newly promoted Aguilas Doradas de Durango stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aguilas Doradas de Durango will play against Frayles de Guasave (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
