Regular Season Round 21: Bayamon - Guayama 79-76

The most exciting game of round 21 in the BSN took place in Bayamon. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Brujos (8-12) to eighth ranked Vaqueros (9-12) 79-76 on Thursday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-16. But Brujos won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Vaqueros won last quarter 20-18. Vaqueros outrebounded Brujos 37-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Jesse Pellot-Rosa (193-84, college: VCU, agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Chane Behanan (198-92, college: Louisville) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Damien Wilkins (198-80, college: Georgia) added 23 points in the effort for Brujos. Vaqueros moved-up to fifth place. Brujos at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. Vaqueros are looking forward to face Leones (#6) in Juana Diaz in the next round. Brujos will have a break next round.
