Finals Game 1: Shimane SM - Nishinomiya S. 53-78

Nishinomiya Storks are crowned B League D2 champions. They rallied past Shimane in the title clash tonight. The game was mostly controlled by Nishinomiya S.. Shimane Magic was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Shimane Magic to just 6 points in third quarter. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Shimane Magic's 24. Swingman Naoki Tani (193-88) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Shimane Magic's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
