Toyota Alvark beat Toshiba but then lost in the extra period as the Brave Thunders paved their way into the title game. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) scored 22 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and international point guard Ryusei Shinoyama (178-88) scored 18 points. Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
