Roche defeated Avenir to take 1-0 lead in LF2 Finals. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-58. Roche dominated on the defensive end, holding Avenir to just 5 points in second quarter. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Avenir 35-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of DR Congolese center Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-82) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Finnish forward Minna Sten (190-87) answered with 16 points and center Mathilde Combes (184-96) added 10 points in the effort for Avenir. Avenir's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
