The hosts trailed by 16 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 19 points. Olimpi dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Batumi's 34. They outrebounded Batumi 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. Olimpi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Tre Burnette (196, college: S.Dakota) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and guard Gegi Baqradze (203-94) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Olimpi players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ukrainian forward Igor Krivtsov (201-86) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and international Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds.
