The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket won third quarter 24-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Monaco won last quarter 22-19. The best player for the winners was American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: BeoBasket) who scored 16 points. Naturalized Mali forward Amara Sy (202-81, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Darryl Watkins (211-84, college: Syracuse, agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized Guyanese Livio Jean-Charles (202-93, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points respectively for the hosts.
