Forward Andrew Steel (200-91, college: Cal Poly Pomona) stepped up and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Sam McDonald (-84) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American swingman Robert Heyer (190, college: Boise St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chris Whitehead (175-92, college: Bellarmine) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Five Spectres and four Chargers players scored in double figures. Chargers' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Spectres maintains first place in League with 12-2 record. Loser Chargers keep the second position with three games lost. Spectres will face Geelong Supercats (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chargers will play against the league's second-placed Ballarat Miners and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
