Everything went according to plan in Mandurah where leader Magic (11-0) edged 7th ranked Wanneroo (5-8) 63-60 on Friday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Magic forced 20 Wanneroo turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Casey Mihovilovich (173-82) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Carly Boag (188-95, college: Minot St.) helped adding 17 points and 11 rebounds. Magic's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Klara Wischer (185-91, college: San Diego) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Nikita-Lee Martin (184-88) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Magic maintains second place in League with 11-0 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Kilsyth LC. Loser Wanneroo keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Magic will face Slammers (#9) in Bunbury in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wanneroo will play at home against Senators and hope to win that game.
