Very expected game in Mandurah where 14th ranked Magic (2-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Wanneroo (10-3) 90-78 on Friday. Magic was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Robert Huntington (203, college: Nova SE) chipped in 20 points. Five Wanneroo players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Will McNeill (185-90, college: Washburn) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Taylor Mullenax (200-86, college: St.Edward's) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wanneroo moved-up to third place in League. Loser Magic keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Wanneroo will face Stirling S. (#5) in Perth in the next round. Magic will play at home against Slammers (#6) and hope to win that game.
