Regular Season Round 1: Indios SFM - Reales LV 92-76

Indios SFM used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from La Vega 92-76. Reales LV was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 50-32 second half run of Indios SFM. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Reales LV's 36 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Guard Gerardo Suero (193-89, college: Albany) nailed 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Juan Miguel Suero (198-93) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Indios SFM players scored in double figures. American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) came up with 29 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Nigerian-American center Augustine Okosun (210-86, college: Kaiser) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Reales LV in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Indios SFM's next round opponent will be Huracanes PP (#6) in Puerto Plata. Reales LV will play at home against Metros STGO and hope to win that game.
