The game was mostly controlled by UBT Cluj Napoca. Steaua CSM managed to win second period 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Steaua CSM 40-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds.
