Maccabi Haifa thumped visiting Hapoel Holon to draw things level in the series. The game without a history. Maccabi Haifa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Maccabi Haifa outrebounded Hapoel Holon 39-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) who scored 28 points and 4 steals. Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (180-86, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Maccabi Haifa players scored in double figures. American point guard Jordan Taylor (188-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 16 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) added 21 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
