Finals Game 1: Quimper - Souffel 76-60

Quimper defeated Souffel to take 1-0 lead in the championship series. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 48-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Quimper UJAP looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Souffelweyersheim helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds. Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-92) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Burke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese forward Elson Mendy (200-85) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-92) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Souffelweyersheim.
