Very important is a home loss of third ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (19-13) against ninth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (13-21) on Saturday night. Host Tijuana Zonkeys were defeated by Caballeros de Culiacan in a tough game in Tijuana 90-94. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tijuana Zonkeys. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caballeros de Culiacan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Navolato. Loser Tijuana Zonkeys keep the third position with 13 games lost. Caballeros de Culiacan will meet at home league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tijuana Zonkeys will play against Lobos UAD Mazatlan and hope to secure a win.
