Finals Game 1: AEK Athens - Aris 90-74

AEK Athens rallied past Aris in the consolation finals opener. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-74. 28 personal fouls committed by Aris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian forward Milan Milosevic (203-85, agency: BeoExcell) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five AEK Athens players scored in double figures. The former international forward Vladimir Jankovic (202-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward Michalis Tsairelis (206-88) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aris. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
