The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Scandone AV shot 60.7 percent from the field. Scandone AV had a 30-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) who scored 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) chipped in 21 points. Four Scandone AV players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Georgian point guard Marquez Haynes (191-86, college: Texas Arlington) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) added 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. Umana Venezia's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
