Geneve Lions outgunned Monthey to take 2-1 lead in the championship series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-90. Geneve Lions outrebounded Monthey 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by Monthey helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American swingman Antonio Ballard (196-88, college: Miami, OH) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Roberto Kovac (189-90) helped adding 26 points. Ballard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: De Paul) with 30 points and 6 assists and the other American import forward Markel Humphrey (198-86, college: Marshall, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
