Regular Season Round 3: Soles SD - Titanes Licey 90-101

We should not miss a road victory of Titanes Licey (2-1) over Soles SD (1-2) 101-90. The game was mostly controlled by Titanes Licey. Soles SD was better in third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Soles SD outrebounded Titanes Licey 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) who scored 33 points (!!!). Naturalized Spanish power forward Edward Santana (203-80) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Ramon Ruiz (188-83) who recorded 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Dwight McCombs (203-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: DTMones) added 21 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Titanes Licey and five Soles SD players scored in double figures. Soles SD's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Titanes Licey's next round opponent will be Caneros LR (#8) in La Romana. Soles SD will play again on the road against Titanes Licey in San Cristobal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
