Regular Season Round 11: Grecia - Liberia 100-73

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Liberia (2-7) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Grecia (4-4) 100-73 on Sunday. Grecia dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Liberia's 40. Grecia forced 20 Liberia turnovers and outrebounded them 72-29 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Duelle Gore (196, college: Haskell) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 29 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Marquis Aaron (196, college: Bellevue) helped adding 20 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Marcos Decarlo responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Cory Bradford (191-78, college: Illinois) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grecia moved-up to fourth place. Loser Liberia keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Grecia will meet at home U Latina (#6) in the next round. Liberia will have a break next round.
