Regular Season Round 1: Auriblanco - Marne 77-75

Auriblanco (1-0) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging Marne (0-1) 77-75 on Wednesday evening. Auriblanco made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Marne turnovers. It was a very good performance for Rodrigo Goncalvez who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Emiliano Suarez (182-91) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bruno Ingratta answered with 22 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and forward Andres Pineiro (187-89) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Marne. Auriblanco will face Verdirrojo (#6) in Montevideo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Marne will play against Colon and hope to win that game.
