Finals Game 1: Real Madrid - Valencia 87-81

Real Madrid secured the winning start to Liga Endesa Finals. They edged visiting Valencia in the capital. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international Sergio Llull (190-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. International Rudy Fernandez (197-85) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Fernando San-Emeterio (199-84) added 14 points in the effort for Valencia Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
