Regular Season Round 13: Rockingham CF - Mandurah M. 60-81

Everything went according to plan in Rockingham where leader Magic (14-0) outleveled 8th ranked Flames (4-11) 81-60 on Friday. Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Flames' 16. Magic forced 25 Flames turnovers and outrebounded them 43-22 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Casey Mihovilovich (173-82) fired 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Carly Boag (188-95, college: Minot St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Four Magic players scored in double figures. Guard Chelsea Armstrong (173-90) produced 15 points and guard Jacinta Bourne (168-91) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Magic keeps a position of League leader. Loser Flames dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Magic will face Tigers (#5) in Willeton in the next round. Flames will play on the road against Lightning (#4) in Bullcreek and hope to win that game.
