Guyamas overcame Tijuana to take 2-1 lead in the series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 25-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Paul Reyes who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Daniel Giron (175-89) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Greg Smith (198-91, college: Colorado St.) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) added 23 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
