Very expected game in Quebradillas where 9th ranked Caciques (9-17) were defeated by third ranked Piratas (18-10) 84-75 on Sunday. Caciques trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 18-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-84 at the end of the game. Piratas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international center Jorge-Bryan Diaz (210-89, college: Nebraska) fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83, agency: Basket Management Solutions) chipped in 18 points. Piratas' coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Edwin Ubiles (198-86, college: Siena) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side.
