Dominican Republic recorded a 24:19 lead after ten minutes. Puerto Rico bounced back with a 27:15 run in the second term to establish a 46:39 halftime lead. They limited Dominican Republic to just 8 points in the third term to open a 10-point advantage. They protected the lead throughout the final term and sealed the win. Valeria Verdejo accounted for 17 points for the winners. Katiana Benitez responded with 20 points for Dominican Republic.
