Comunicacoines earned TNA title. They rolled past Estudiantes Olavarria in the decisive fifth game of the championship series to capture the trophy. The game was mostly controlled by Comunicaciones. Estudiantes O. managed to win third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cameroonian power forward Gaston Essengue (203-83, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Nicolas Lauria (202-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Comunicaciones' coach Fernando Rivero felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Italian center Emilio Dominguez (202-87) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Rodrigo Sanchez (200-89) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Estudiantes O.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
