Semi-Finals Game 1: Hapoel J-M - Maccabi Rishon 93-76

Hapoel Jerusalem held off Maccabi Rishon to advance into Winner League Final. It looked good early as Maccabi Rishon took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Jerusalem had a 23-19 second period charge getting the lead and Maccabi Rishon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-93. Hapoel Jerusalem players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. International power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: N.Carolina St.) nailed 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) accounted for 23 points and 5 steals. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. American power forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points respectively for Maccabi Rishon in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
