Mazatlan toppled Obregon to advance into the next round of playoffs. Lobos UAD Mazatlan dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's 38. Lobos UAD Mazatlan forced 19 Halcones de Ciudad Obregon turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including 31 on the defensive glass. Lobos UAD Mazatlan looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's players. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Devin White (203-88, college: SUNO) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Omar Thomas (196-82, college: UTEP) chipped in 31 points and 4 steals. Swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) produced 41 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
