Important game to mention about took place in Quebradillas. Seventh ranked Capitanes (14-14) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Piratas (18-12) 80-77 on Thursday evening. The guests were already 19 points ahead at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 30-12 last quarter charge of Piratas cut the lead to 80-77 at the end of the game. Capitanes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Capitanes have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Piratas at the other side dropped to the third position with 12 games lost. Capitanes will play against Indios (#8) in Mayaguez in the next round. Piratas will have a break next round.
