Regular Season Round 14: Albury LB - Melbourne T. 65-93

Date: June 17, 2017
Another interesting game for Tigers (3-8) which played in Albury against one of their biggest challengers Lady Bandits (2-9). Fifth ranked Tigers crushed hosts 93-65. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Tigers forced 19 Lady Bandits turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Hanna Zavecz (186-85) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American center Adijat Adams (188-92, college: Biola, CA) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Emma Mahady (180-92, college: California, PA) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Tigers and four Lady Bandits players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers moved-up to fourth place in League. Lady Bandits at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
