Regular Season Round 16: Albury W.B. - Melbourne T. 107-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Tigers' (3-11) road loss to fifth ranked Bandits (8-7) in Albury 80-107 on Saturday. Bandits had a 40-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for point guard Deba George (183-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. American forward TJ Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Bandits players scored in double figures. American forward Ari Stewart (200-90, college: USC) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized British guard Daryl Corletto (193-81) added 14 points in the effort for Tigers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bandits maintains fifth position in League with 8-7 record. Loser Tigers keep the sixth place with 11 games lost. Bandits will face higher ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (#4) in Ulverstone in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tigers will play at home against Kilsyth Cobras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
