Very important is a road loss of third ranked Leones SD (6-4) against seventh ranked Reales LV (3-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Leones SD was defeated by Reales LV in a tough game in La Vega 84-91. Leones SD trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-91 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman James Maye (201-81, college: NC-Greensboro) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American point guard Patrick Miller (185-92, college: Tennessee St.) responded with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized American MJ Rhett (206-92, college: Mississippi) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Reales LV moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Huracanes PP. Leones SD lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the third position with four games lost. Reales LV will meet higher ranked Caneros LR (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leones SD will play against the league's second-placed Indios SFM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
