Very important is a home loss of second ranked Indios SFM (8-3) against fourth ranked Titanes Licey (5-5) on Tuesday night. Host Indios SFM was defeated by Titanes Licey in a tough game in San Francisco 92-96. Titanes Licey forced 19 Indios SFM turnovers. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) nailed 33 points (!!!) for the winning side and naturalized Spanish power forward Edward Santana (203-80) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) came up with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) added 29 points respectively for Indios SFM in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Indios SFM's coach David Diaz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Titanes Licey have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-5 record, which they share with Caneros LR. Loser Indios SFM keeps the second position with three games lost. Titanes Licey will meet Reales LV (#7) in the next round. Indios SFM will play against Caneros LR (#5) and hope to secure a win.
