Regular Season Round 11: Titanes Licey - Indios SFM 82-91

Leader Indios SFM delivered the tenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Titanes Licey (5-8) 91-82 in San Cristobal. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-82. Indios SFM made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 assists. Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. American center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized Spanish power forward Edward Santana (203-80) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five Indios SFM and four Titanes Licey players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios SFM have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-3 record. Titanes Licey lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Indios SFM will meet at home bottom-ranked Soles SD (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Titanes Licey will have a break next round.
