Regular Season Round 11: Huracanes PP - Titanes Licey 78-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Titanes Licey's (5-8) road loss to fifth ranked Huracanes PP (6-6) 68-78 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 53-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Huracanes PP dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Titanes Licey's 32. They outrebounded Titanes Licey 41-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Salvadorean Bernando Polanco helped adding 18 points. Four Huracanes PP players scored in double figures. American center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) responded with 5 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Diego Moquete (-95) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Huracanes PP have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Caneros LR. Titanes Licey lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Huracanes PP will meet at home Leones SD (#5) in the next round. Titanes Licey will have a break next round.
